At Stage 32, we’re always trying to find new ways to help our writers grow, learn and find success. That’s why we decided to create the Stage 32 Feature Screenwriting Fellowship Contest. This is a completely different type of contest than the ones we’ve hosted in the past, and we’re so excited to bring you this amazing opportunity.

This competition won’t have only one winner - we’re giving our panel of five incredible industry mentors the option to choose mentees from a group of 10 competition Finalists.

The potential mentors will not only read the scripts, they will review your biography and a cover letter, written by you, explaining why you should be considered for this incredible opportunity. Each mentor will choose who they want to work directly with for the next 6 months! Your mentor could come from Gersh, Circle of Confusion, Ramo Law or more!

And that's not all! The winners of this competition will also have their complete portfolios sent to an exclusive roster of over 30 agents and managers - hand picked by Stage 32 - who are actively looking for new clients and material. This is the type of exposure that really can change your career forever.

We’ll also be organizing group panel events for the mentees each month throughout the six month fellowship period with experienced industry professionals. A different, exciting executive will join the panel discussion each month to answer your questions and dole out advice. We can’t wait for you to meet our incredible mentors and industry insiders who want to make a difference in your career!

What do the 5 Winning Mentees Receive?

1) 6 Months of Mentoring from a Pro who Chooses You: If you’re chosen as a mentee, you won’t just have one meeting with your mentor; you’ll meet with them consistently for six months starting in December 2022 and going all the way through May 2023! During that time you will get to build a relationship with them, get career advice and assistance, and of course, improve your existing scripts, and developing new ideas. You will also have email access to your mentor to communicate directly. For 6 months you will have a personal guide who will help you achieve success! Who knows where that relationship could lead!

2) Exclusive Virtual Round Table Events: Once a month throughout the six month fellowship period, we’ll also be organizing virtual group round table events just for the mentees with experienced industry professionals. A different, exciting executive, manager, producer, agent or filmmaker will join the panel discussion each month to answer your questions and dole out advice. You will be a part of an exclusive group of mentees who will have access to some of the industry's top professionals and decision makers.

3) Direct Access to Agents & Managers: At the end of the 6 months of mentorship the 5 mentees will also have their complete portfolios and professional biography sent to an exclusive roster of over 30 agents and managers hand picked by Stage 32 who are actively looking for new clients and material. Stage 32 will facilitate introductory meetings to any of the representatives who respond to your material and bio. You will get the exposure you have been missing after 6 months of preparation!
