Coffee & Content: Full Directors Roundtable
Coffee & Content: Full Directors Roundtable
Happy Sunday, Creative Army!
Have you had a creative weekend so far? I have some content here for you that is sure to get the creative juices flowing, so grab your coffee, and let's dive in.
First up, in this video from The Hollywood Reporter, we see the directors from some of last year's most talked-about films discuss their visions, inspirations, and big takeaways from their recent work. The roundtable includes Ava DuVernay (ORIGIN), Blitz Bazawule (THE COLOR PURPLE), Bradley Cooper (MAESTRO), Greta Gerwig (BARBIE), Michael Mann (FERRARI), and Todd Haynes (MAY DECEMBER).
Next, in this video from Vanity Fair, OPPENHEIMER production designer Ruth DeJong digs into the research and intricacies that go into making a 360-degree set. In a time when so many things are computer-generated, it's fascinating to see how this production was able to pull off so much with practical effects.
