When I was conceiving Stage 32 way back in 2009, those were some of the first words I wrote down on a legal pad I titled THE MISSION. The mission hasn’t changed. The song remains the same.

Many of you know the story. During our soft launch in 2011, I reached out to 100 of my industry friends and showed them the first version of Stage 32. I asked them to join and tell me what they liked and didn’t like about the platform. But I had a second ask. If they liked the platform, if they were behind my mission, would they be willing to send at least 5 emails to colleagues inviting them to join Stage 32. 97 of them did just that. And every single person that accepted that invite received the same ask. Within 5 months, we were 5,000 strong.

The ask has never changed. And 2 years ago at Cannes we announced our 1 millionth member. Today, we’re a community of over 1.2 million film and television creatives and professionals worldwide. This is truly a community for you, built by you.

As the saying goes, there’s strength in numbers. This community is proof of that. As the community has grown so have the success stories. Because of relationships made here, people have had opportunities no matter where they are in the world, they’ve been inspired to stay in the game, and, of course, as our numbers grew, so did our success stories.

Today, we are launching a new Invite system and I am bringing this ask to you again. Regardless of whether you’ve invited people to Stage 32 before or never have, I’m asking you to follow the instructions below and invite at least 5 of your creative friends and colleagues to join this incredible community. Of course, feel free to invite as many people as you like. The cast and crew of the last film you worked on, your broad-based social media groups or followings, your filmmaking clubs or writing groups, your friends from conferences you attend…all are welcome.

And, of course, in the days ahead, if you meet someone new, never hesitate to hit the Invite tab on the top menu bar and invite them to join us here to be part of this welcoming, safe, and insanely talented community.

Ready to Send Your Invitations?

Once you’ve selected who you want to invite, you’ll have the option to customize each message before sending it out.

If you'd like to personalize your invitation, click on the writing icon under "Action." A pop-up window will open where you can customize your message however you’d like.

Prefer to use the default invite message? Simply select those invites and send them instantly!

Automatically Connect With New Members!

Once your invitations are sent, anyone who accepts your invite will be automatically added to your Stage 32 network—making it even easier to stay connected and collaborate on future projects!

Already Have Friends on Stage 32? Easily Connect With Them!

If you attempt to invite a friend who is already on Stage 32, you’ll receive a popup notification letting you know that they are already a member of the community. Instead of sending them an invite, you’ll have the option to send them a direct network request—so you can connect with them on Stage 32 right away!

This means you won’t accidentally re-invite members who are already here, and you can instantly expand your Stage 32 network by reconnecting with industry contacts you may not have realized were already on the platform!

Your Invitation History: Keep Track of Who You've Invited and Who's Accepted Your Invitation

Now you have your invitation history - keep track of who you've invited and who has accepted your invitation! You can keep track each day on who has joined your network. More connections means more opportunities!
