Good morning Stage 32 family! Can you believe that we are already halfway through December and cruising full steam ahead into the holidays and 2020?! First and foremost, I want to thank the LA-based members of our community who came out to our Annual Holiday Party last Thursday! For those members who are outside of LA, let not your heart be troubled. As we move into the new year, we are going to make it a goal to hold more meetups and events for members around the US and the world. Look for updates and information about events in your area! Let us know in the comments where we should go! You never know where the Stage 32 crew will appear next!

As part of the event, our members donated items to the Good Shepherd Shelter for Homeless Women and Children and the generosity was overwhelming! As the staff of Stage 32 and I were accepting donations from our members, it felt like the final scene of It’s a Wonderful Life, where a seemingly endless parade of well-wishers pitched in to help those in need. It was a heartwarming feeling and emblematic what makes our Stage 32 community so special. We are blessed with some of the warmest, most supportive, and giving individuals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

I also want to take this time to congratulate our members who are experiencing successes through Stage 32 so far in the month of December! While the holidays tend to slow things down for much of the industry, these writers and filmmakers are gaining traction with their projects and will be hitting this next year with the momentum going their way. Writer Brian Fitzgerald connected with Manager and Producer Julia Verdin after he submitted his project, Chicle, for a First 10 Pages review. Rose Glaeser at Abrams Artists was introduced to Tom Morash after offering Premium Coverage on his project, 2Bro2b.

Producer Jason Piette of Disrupting Influence requested a project from Anthony W Johnson and a project from Richard Levine after connecting through a Pitch Session. Writer Emily Aspland had a double dose of good news when both Audrey Knox of The Cartel and Sissy Denkova of Gidden Media both requested her project after connecting during a pitch session. Sissy also requested the project, My Best Friend from Teodora Gaydorova through a pitch! Producer Alexia Melocchi requested the project, The New Norm in Travel from Norm Susser, while executive Samantha Schoen connected with writer Sara Dahmen over a project as well!

And there is still so much time left in December before we head into the holidays, which means there are still opportunities to advance your writing and filmmaking career as we head into the New Year! In the meantime, please join me in congratulating the members of our community who experienced success so far in the month of December!
