We all know the age-old-adage about show business:

"It's not what you know, it's who you know.

So how do you get to know these magical gatekeepers of Hollywood? Do you bombard their office with postcards with your face on it? (No.) Do you Google sleuth to find out their home address and send them homemade cookies? (Definitely not, don't be creepy.) Do you find common ground (alma mater, hometown, etc) and compose a clever, short, personalized message to them? (Bingo.)
